Stolen

Hey all...Bad news...

First off, I am in college at Evangel University in Springfield Mo. Fun little place. Anyway...two days ago out of the parking lot my car was stolen along with two other 94 maxs.....Was wonering first off if anyone was in the area and has seen a '94 dark green max with a T sticker in the back window and KY plates drivin around haha.

Secondly, no glass on ground around any of the cars nor was there and standard BREAKING and entering sounds. All parties (me and two girls) have all keys that are in existance to us for our cars. So....ya know how many of you 94 max owners can unlock some GMCs predating 1996 out there? Well does the reverse hold true?

Thanks. Any other ideas about how it happened to three locked 94 max's in one night owuld be awesome. Lata all....I'm sad. No car. And the golf clubs are gone too.

Now days they just tow the damn thing. You work out something with a tow company, preferably a tow truck driver that has done some time. You pay him and he sets aside 15 minutes to steal it. That way nobody expects it, even the cops, they just see a car on a tow truck like you see everyday.

Or, you can bust out the window all the way so that there is no glass and it looks rolled down. Then pull the fuse for the alarm and break the tumblers in the ignition and like the ludacris song "roll out".

Well it's hard to tell how mad/sad someone is through text on a message board unless they use lots of emoticons

But yeah that sucks dude. Why are they stealing Maximas? Did they run out of Camrys to steal?

i put a killswitch in my car, but my car looks pretty beat up, so i doubt anyone would steal mine. Anyone on the .org have their car attempted to be stolen but their killswitch saved the day? also, my friend had his car broken into and the dumbasses couldnt start it because of the killswitch (couldnt find it) so they tried to steal his stereo, turned out the stereo was screwed into, not slipped in, so they couldnt steal that, and they tried to steal his amp which was under the seat, no good, but the sub in the trunk was gone, and his alarm did not go off. Im starting to wonder about the factory alarms.

Killswitch means nothing. I have factory alarm and a aftermarket clifford with kill switch and fuel cut off, you cant even start the car with the key if the alarm is going off, but I could still take the car if I wanted it.

My brother's Nissan Stanza key will unlock and start my '93 Maxima No joke. It doesnt work both ways but its scary - I suppose the keys are just too similar. I dont know if this is just a freak chance that it can or if it would work on many other Max's...havent wanted to walk up to someone else's car to try it out for obvious reasons, heh.

Sorry about your car.

It's pretty weak - as an experiment, I armed the factory alarm and it didn't even go off when I hopped in the window and started the car, nor did it go off when I shut off the car and opened the door. So basically, if you can get into the car, you can have it.

An ex-girlfriend had her Honda stolen. Someone busted the sunroof. The alarm never went off because they never opened the hood or the doors. It was a cheap alarm, but probably about like our factory ones. They found the car a few days later minus the engine and wheels. It was a stock EX civic.

Our sunroofs are a lot bigger than Hondas and there wouldn't be any glass on the ground.

We should all check the "for sale" boards to see if lots of 94 parts start showing up!

My roommate has a civic and runs with some other ricers that are around. One of the guys is his Rice gang can open almost any other civic with his ignition key that came with the car...kinda scary.
