Wrap the threads of the O2 sensor in steel wool, Kinda like you were taping then up with teflon tape. Thread it in there.

Get a new "bung" welded on
or just have a plain old nut with the right threads welded on (JBweld works)
But first you have to remove the old bung.
You may also be able to try a Heli-coil kit

If the threads aren't damaged too bad, why not use a tap and die kit and try to rethread it??

I was only recomending JBweld to hold in a new bung NOT the o2 as the o2 will NEVER come out if you JB it in

If you are going to go through the trouble of grinding off the old bung and JB a new one, just cough up the 20 buck to have a shop weld it on. Guys at most shops, particularly franchises, will do alot of quick welding for a little cash. Especially if you grind it off first. Also, if you JB anything that is supposed to be threaded in, just know that this will be the last time you can ever service it. Next time the torch or grinder comes out.
