Help with KS, I've already read the FAQ's
I'm still trying to figure this out soon so that I can know whether or not to change it. I replaced my KS (knock sensor) a few months back and the car still throws a KS code and is going into what I think to be safe mode and throwing off the timing to whole time I drive it. Courtesy Nissan did send me the wrong harness and it was shorter in length but still fit the KS after I shaved off the notch on top. How can I accurately test the KS and/or harness to make sure it is working correctly. I already tested it throught the harness and it came out to .538 megaohms, but how do I know that when the motor is running if it is still working correctly. The car runs fine with the 470 resistor "mod" in there and makes no audible knocking or anything either way. Is my problem with the Knock sensor or the Harness, and what should I replace? I need to make this decision soon so that I can do the work. Thanks for your help.
