Power doors and keyless entry

I have a 93 maxima, and the power doors dont work. When i press the button for them to work, you can hear the switch down under the steering wheel making a noise, but i dont know what its doing. This is also making my keyless entry not work, since i put in the code and go for it to unlock it just makes the same sound and wont unlock. any ideas on how to fix it?

very common problem on 92-94s. The door lock timer needs to be resoldered. It's a grey plastic box just to the right of the steering column after you take off the lower dash piece. It actually has a sticker that says door lock timer and you'll hear it click when you press the lock/unlock button.
If you dont know how to solder, contact Matt93se (or myself) and he'll take care of it for a small fee

I think I read that you can try pressing that area of the dash and it might occasionally work when doing that-if so it definitely would be a bad DLT-not that pushing the dash is a fix

no US 3rd gens came stock with remote keyless entry so there is no remote to get

you can install one yourself though if you have some wiring experience (check out the FAQs for more info)

awesome, but your car doesn't have a door lock timer so it's a different problem (maybe the main lock/window switch)
