look for +12V on the wires coming into it.

I assume you've got the ignition on when you're looking for it to work, right?

will do that tomarrow. everything was working earlier today, I removed my deck to make room for my EQ..(there are gaps between the decks any idea how to make it look flush?)

yes, my ignition is on when I was testing it.

Vertical gaps between the top and bottom of the decks?

simple.. re-drill the holes on the sides of the mounting brackets, or simply make your own brackets out of some sheet metal.

uhhh, you DID remember to plug the cig lighter back in when you put the dash back together, right?

i was wondering...

do you guys have a second power output like the cig lighter under the dash from the passanger side? I dunno, but I do... it's a similar plug underneath the dash, closer to the center console... Was this some sort of an option or was it possibly installed by the previous owner, for a car phone or something? I also have a phone line and a car phone antennae, which i took off..

Nope, none of that is stock..
the phone line was probably for a remote mounted regular car-cell phone. they just yank the brain out of the trunk and the handset and leave the rest behind. no point in spending 2 hours tearing apart a car to remove a $5 cable.
