There are several symptoms my car seems to be experiencing...
1) This happens rarely but has happened one too many times. I will be accelerating but the rpms will increase until about 3300rpms and then stay "stuck" at that point then jump to 5000rpms, feels like its forced and jerks forward.
2) After driving the car for 20 min or so, when i would stop at a light the car would feel like it was jerking. The only way i can describe this is if you have ever driven a 5spd and gave too much gas while still holding down the clutch in how it would jerk back and forth then turn off on you.

I really think its the tranny, but could it be air/fuel problems. I only use 93 or better and the car is maintained properly. The mileage is currently at 168,1xx. If anyone has any solutions please post. Thanks guys.

 

ok, i took it to the transmission shop and found out that it was the clutch converter that was creating the problem. The man said that it wasn't releasing quick enough. He also said that he doesn't think it needs to be fixed. I would like to know if anyone has any experience with the clutch converter failing. Please help me out thanks.

 

so the thing at the stop light was clutch converter? I'm having similar problems
