No Brake Lights
No Brake Lights
Got another prob. My E-brake light came on today. So I started troubleshooting and noticed that I don't have any brake lights. I have tail and turn signal lights but no brake lights. First thing I thought of was the switch on the brake pedal. I ohm'd it and its good....I also installed a jumper wire on the brake switch plug and still didn't get any lights to come on. I checked the fuses and they're all good. Anyone have any suggestions on what would be the next logical culprit?
is there always this many electrical problems on these stupid cars?

I have a 92 ford aerostar with 130k on the clock and i have had waaaay more trouble out of that POS compared to my max.
you have a F.O.R.D. what do you expect.
my chevies are mostly very reliable ESPECIALLY my old ones.
that and the fact that the parts are WAY cheaper when something does break.
Don't get me wrong, I like my maxima. Heck it's my second one, but my Camaro has been with me 8 years and that's longer than any other car I've had

I just sold a 94 S-10 Blazer that my daughter drove to high school for three years. In three years I spent $3500. in various repairs, not maintenance. Bought her a 93 SE for college. My 92 SE that my oldest drives I have spent $36. in repairs in the last year.

if i had to pay retail for the parts that my max has needed:
5 injectors = $500
2 Lower control arm bushings = $30
cat back = $150
2 axles = $120
Stereo = $100
speakers = $50
wiring harness = $15
antanae adapter = $15 (actually paid for that)
2 window regulators = $105
and that doesn't include the maintanence items (that cost more than my old blazer's maintanace items)
good thing I don't pay retail, and I don't pay labor
