Tail Light

My taillight is intact except its missing a piece of the silver top. Water gets in there and leaks into the trunk. I was wondering if there is a way i can buy only that piece or something. I mean the light itself is intact. Its only that plastic part. ?

Try and find a used taillight for a 89-91 GXE maxima. Trying to repair it is just a waste of time unless you are going through some type of overnight weather disaster.

I still have a hard time picturing where the water is entering... Duct tape works well temporarily...

I can look for a center panel for you this weekend if you are interested. PM me and we can discuss it.

Ya...., I don't get it either - why would the center peice let water in the trunk?? I think you've got a leak somewhere else. Have you had your trunk panels out recently? If not, you might want to take them out and inspect your seatbelt mounts and wheel-wells for signs of cancer - it's typical on our cars.

you probably want to get some silcone, probably black to blend in and use it all over the edges, because eventually your trunk will rust ir smell like mildew

Check out the for sale forum. SOmeone is selling some tails in the 3rd gen section. You're talking about the center reflector. Not the tail light.
