Light weight subs, do they exist?
I took my box out of my trunk to prep it for surgery and I noticed a big differance in acceration. I only had a 10" sub in a box made of partical board. I want to keep the acceration and sound. Is there such thing as a light weight sub box?

The box usually weighs more than the sub.
If you are serious about getting a lightweight sub, do some research. Find a list of say the 20 best performing subs you can. Then find the specs from each one and see which is the lightest. Using plexiglass or fiberglass will probably be lighter than mdf, too.

Bazooka tubes are light compared to a sub & box. Not sure if they'll provde enough bass in your life though. One beat-up 8" bazooka tube is good enough for me.

You may also want to look into a free-air sub. they usually have smaller magnets (most of the weight on a good sub), and you don't need the huge box.
both of my 12s with the baffle in place weigh around 40lb. that's a LOT lighter than the three JL 10W6s and huge MDF box that was in there before... that thing weighed about 150lb with the box and subs together... plus the amprack at another 80lb when it was loaded..
that stuff gets heavy, so I've built everything so it's removeable when I get to the track.
