Feasibility

How feasible is a 5 speed swap? I've posted about this before I think, but, there's no search feature(why is that?) so I can't find it again..

If I can get a good parts car, is it that big of a deal? I know a couple of people around here have done it successfully, maybe you guys/girls could chime in here for me?

I basically inherited this car, my uncle was going to sell it before he moved, and sold it to me for a good price. I wasn't going to buy it because it was an automatic, but I drove it and... wow. That was during the summer, and unfortunately it has spent most of it's time sitting in my yard. . So it's time to get it back on the road.. I'd like to add a bit more performance to it though, so I think the swap would be a good start.

Any help, tips, etc would be really appreciated. Is there a write-up anywhere? Anything is appreciated. Thanks.

get a 5 speed donor car and start by looking.
you'll have drill a couple of holes though.
it's not significantly tougher than doing any other trans swap
