washing my seats

I was going to take off the fabric from all of my seats tomorrow and put them in the washer and wash them because I cant seem to get them clean with anything else and I have tried everything.

my queston is do you think that the fabric will hold together and also not shrink? I dont want to put them in the washer and then they get torn to bits and then me not having any seat covers

if it helps my seats are the tweed fabric. has anyone else done anything else like this?

Gliptones Muscle Foam works well, try letting whatever you used sit and soak for awhile, maybe even overnight, then hit it again

this worked for a pool of soda under the back seat of my truck that was sitting there for months until i noticed it

I work at jiffy lube and we have this stuff called TNT and Im telling you it will get anything out of anything lol. we spray it on the floor when we spill oil and it like attaches to the oil and we can mop it right up and its all gone. I sprayed a whole can in my car and let it sit over 24 hours and that didnt even take out this stuff. hopefully that will have loosened up all of the dirt and it will come out if I wash it.

If you wash them, I wouldn't dry them in the dryer. Maybe just hang them out to dry. I would be careful, though. If you screw something up, you are sitting on the foam...

You might want to call a detail shop and ask how much to clean the seats for you, instead of risking ruining them.

Maybe u can rent water vacuum cleaner (which has separate water container) and wash them on place. Works great. Do not use washingtonmachine.

I think you all might be right. I will just leave them alone for now, with my luck I will end up tearing them up and then I will have to sit of the foam

I've used Tuff Stuff before and it does a great job of cleaning seats and carpet. Only $5 or so at Pepboys or wherever

Buy your mom a carpet extractor for mother's day (get Dad to help). Get one that has a small head attachment for doing upholstery. Works great on car seats and carpet. What a great son.
