rusted exhaust bolts...these suckers are no joke!!!

im slowly gathering parts for my ve5 , and i noticed my Bpipe to CAT bolts are sooo rusted u can't even see the shape of the bolts... its just a big rusted blob.
i have never delt with bolts this bad before... i have heated rusted bolts out with a torch, but these seem waaaay to rusted.
they must be removed along with the cat... to install my "high flow cat" but now im thinking when the time comes, ill be forced to replace that pipe or at least make a new flange for the B pipe. If i had the money, there would be no question on replacing the pipe (it doesnt leak at all but it is old)... i have other plans and wana keep the stock b pipe.

has anyone heated bolts out or made a new junction between these two pipes, i have no experience welding pipes or flanges...

i would first try to clean the bolts off with a wire brush on a drill. then i would heat em' up and try, try again.
if that doesn't work and you just end up stripping the nuts, drill em' out. get a cobalt drill bit in the size that you need drill....and you'll be home free.

I concour with Jeffy on the nut splitter.

or you could dremel them off but you will probably ruin a flange or atleast use alot of discs.

oh dont forget to buy new bolts before you start working on the car.

Cut them off with a cut off wheel, then drill thru the rest and the threads to use a bolt and nut setup SS of course!

cut if off with a dremel? drilling can accidentally damage the thread since there is no place to sit a drill bit?

Don't worry about damaging the threads they're damaged already drill thru it all to make a larger bore for a bolt ,washer, lockwasher, & nut setup....This is easier to work with......and easier to replace in the future!
