yeah they are for when you go to the drag srtip. Stock from nissan. Switch it to power and the tranny goes into drag strip mode. You should run some low 12's with it in that mode.

Danny: I never noticed any light in normal mode. Mine is Amber for power and green for comfort (BTW, on European Maximas they are called something like Sport and Econo).

And both lights are dead, I think, on my car. The Amber sometimes goes on, but I forgot how long ago I saw the Green one.

sport and comfort next to the AT switch is for the suspension.

when your lights are on the letters A/T lights up...just like any switch on your dash board.

no no some maximas also have a swtch by the shifter that are "Sport And Comfort" and that changes the electrically controlled suspension.

If they use the same bulbs as the climate control they are the micro lamp twist in types that can be bought at radioshak IF they have them in stock.I never had mine apart so i am not sure if they are the same or not.. Prolly be way ebtter off to get some white leds and use them.... last alot longer.

Danny:
That light is always on, whether it be Power, Normal or Comfort, right? Oh, well, if the headlights are on, of course. It is the one inside the ****! I thought, he was asking about the bulbs that light up the green and amber and totally forgot about the **** itself.

well the thread asked about the lights inside the switch. there's a total of 3...that's why i gave info on all of them.

it's ok...we all make mistakes...just don't jump down my throat when you think i'm wrong about something.

Danny: no one thought you were wrong. I know there may be many things in old cars that I have no clue about, sometimes because they are dead long time. I thought, the white light was one of them.
It's like one guy got into my old Accord and immediately pressed the clock button cover. The clock came on. I had no clue that you could activate the clock that way without turning on ignition.

I ment the power and comfort bulbs sorry for not being more specific, they are tiny and unfortunately i lost them (yes they're that small) so i can't go into tandy (aussie radioshack) and show them plus they don't know what im talking about! i mainly want them so i can get codes from the tranny computer, if anyone knows of someone selling the whole switch let me know!
Thanks.
