Saying goodbye

I got into an accident going to work this morning and ran into the back of a Ford Explorer. To sum it all up quick the radiator is sitting next to the engine and the car is pretty much totalled up front(passenger side is okay but drivers side is destroyed beyond repair). I've had this car since 2002 and I love the car because it has given me too many good times but I dont have the time or money to go through a total rebuild of a car that still wont be worth as much money I would put into it to have it totally fixed and resurrected. It's been fun guys and good luck to everyone......

Wow how ironic. I also had the same basic collision, except I was passing an suv to the right and SURPRISE there was a 2 ton+ work truck parked with about 3 cones out, and I couldnt see bc of the SUV. Now I need alot of passenger side parts. I loved my max, Ive had it since jan 11th and its been great too me. YGPM

Sorry to hear... I had a very similar accident when I just got my car about 2 years ago.. The bumper, drivers side fender, hood, radiator and some other mechanical parts were all destroyed. I had it repaired for about 2 grand. No paint though. Would have been alot cheaper if I did the work myself. Maybe you don't have to give it up. Junkyard parts are quite cheap... If you have the money for a newer car, then do it, but otherwise if your mileage is low, it might be more beneficial to fix it up, and continue to have those good times.
