Octane level Noticeable?

Since i have owned my maxima, i have noticed that there is a sticker inside of the gas flap that says that high octane gas is recommended for the car, but have always taken the cheap route, and put 87 in.. just wondering, how much of a gain could i expect to see if i started using 93 octane, or 93 with some sort of octane boost?

Link below should answer most your questions (and more). Start around Section 6.13 and then Section 7.

I run 90-92 in my 94 GXE. Car seems to run best and I get terrific gas mileage.

$1.81 ain't bad at all.
I bore my kids about the old days here in Ontario Canada when you could get a gallon of gas for under $2. Right now 92 octane will set you back about 95 cents a litre - there's 3.8 litres in a US gallon. That means we're paying about $3.60 a gallon !!! Of course almost half of that is taxes ... to keep our roads nice and smooth ... what a scam.
