Gauges...

I didn't need to remove the needles to put mine on. The covers just slipped over them. I did have to shave a little bit off of the back of the needle on the speedo, because it was sticking. Other than that, covers slip right over needles. If you are auto, you will probably lose the "O/D Off" light, because most brands don't have them on there.
*EDIT* I see that you are not auto, so disregard last sentence.

if you are going to yank your needles, at let the needle come to their "full rest" which is below the pin that stops them normally, then mark that location so when you put the needle back on, you can align it and not worry too much about messed up reading. Also, since the shaft of the needle's motor is so thin, try to pull the needle as straight away from the shaft as possible.

I just slipped the new gauges thought the needle and over the old guages. I did break off a couple of the needle resting points in the process but I fixed them with super glue.
The gauges look weird because I think they're bigger than the stock ones. I'll probably enlarge the holes in the trim piece that fits over the gauges (black part with large circles in it) so that it looks right.
Thanks everyone for your input.
