Do it yourself. Invest about $150 worth of tools (or less if you buy a right-angle drill adapter instead of a right-angle drill) and a weekend to do the work. I did my rears myself. Do a search for a post I made about it a few weeks back.

I THINK THIS IS THE LINK

Check that out it might help you decide if you what to do it yourself.

Mizeree_X was the one who replaced the studs, so listed to him....

Edit: Like the new "sumer rims", had not seen your car with out the Racks.

all are broken??? I dont think its worth it to pay $1000 for exhaust studs. For around $1500 you can get a JDM engine installed. Try doing it yourself..

OK so drilling out the exhaust studs, its torture for sure. Its best done with a drill adapter as a drill is too bulky to fit well in the back side of engine bay, and make sure you drill perfectly straight. On the transmision side of the engine the posts are holding in antifreeze so when you drill back to a certain point it leaks out, talked to a mechanic and he said it was normal, so dont freak out like i did when you see coolant dripping at a good pace from the hole.

Please do freak out - they're not holding any coolant for sure. At least for the reason of being way too hot for that. I drilled out 3 of mine and replaced the rest and none were holding coolant. How am I supposed to fix my car at the shop if such 'mechanics' work there?

It is close to impossible to drill straight as the axis of the stud is not horizontal. You need straight angle air drill, I don't think adapter can do that but I never tried adapter myself. It will be VERY helpful if you find left hand drill bit of the neccessary diameter, preferrably made of cobalt steel. Drilling with that might just get your stud out without extractor.

I made myself a template out of thick MDF and put it on the remaining studs and used that as a guide by drilling the hole in MDF where broken stud is. I did it with smaller bit first. It was still PITA.

It's auto, so the swap would probably be super hard, and expensive. However I think it would be worth it, assuming it didn't require heavy customization.
