Nasty Sound from the Front of my engine..

a grinding metallic sound comming from the front of the engine is what i hear...

i assume it's a bearing in the Alternator...

how can i losen the belt on my alternator?
i figure if i slaken it and the sound goes away i know thats what is beat...
i assume if the bearing goes the alt seizes and the belts start to smoke...not good.

thanks in advance guys...

edit: nevermind it is the alt. thanks anyways...wait no one has even read this yet! later feel free to delete mods.

you could delete it, but then you run the risk of certain individuals thinking that you "can't handle the heat"
