I was thinking heads and cams off a DETT. If the heads bolted up the same way, which I assumed since they are both VG's. But one is a turbo motor so maybe not. I know Id then have to deal with driving the cams but I can get to that later. Really just wondering about the heads bolting up.

I'm haven't looked at the decks of the SOHC vs the DOHC motor, nor any of the timing components, wouldn't know. But I assume if it was something anywhere near a bolton someone would have already done it.

the entire reason Nissan designed the VE engine was because the VG30DE heads wouldn't fit in the engine bay. there's simply not enough room to cram that engine in there.

so there's no point in trying. you won't get the engine in the car, even if you did/could bolt up the heads.
