She Just Dies

I already checked the Vacuum lines.

So this is the 5th time this has happened recently, the first two times i was in second gear, trying to maintain 25mph and she cuts off. I turn the key, she starts and we keep going.

3rd and 4th time I'm accelerating from a light and when I hit second gear she lurches and dies. Again, turn the key and we're off.

Today, cruising at 70mph in 5th on I-264 and she shuts off. Turn the key, nothin. Again, nothing. By now I've slowed to 50, there's (miraculously) no one behind me so I put it in 2nd, drop the clutch and we're good to go.

Why? That's all I want. Why? like I said, I already checked the vacuum lines, since it seems to be a popular solution to eng. problems. Any help is appreciated. 5 times in 3 weeks isn't a big deal, but I don't want this to happen at the wrong time and put me or anyone else in harms way.

Take a look in the mirror. Tell the guy: "youre driving an ol car, that is WHY"

Old cars need 'some' serious tuneup, check:

...no. That [5.] is NOT u sheriff riding on a Rita-fallen street pole...http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/14

Possibly the ign sw worn, ECU relay & contacts bad, grounDings oxidized...

You need to check all your sensor connections, battery connections, ground
connections for corrosion [green crap]....It will not cost you a dime to check these things, and could fix the problem without changing parts that are not bad....
