I think building a much larger scoop, sticking up 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch across, right where the small bump in the hood is. Then you'd take sheet metal and angle it down to the drivers side, where the air filter would be. that would give plenty of area to froce air in.

Good idea though, i do like your cf scoop. that would look good as well.
