Another KS question, should be easy

Hello, I have a knock sensor that i bought for my 93, when i bought it i wasnt asked to specify between DOHC or SOHC i assumed they were the same but when i called the dealer earlier trying to figure out my question below they said that its a different sensor depending on DOHC vs SOHC. Im trying to sell the knocksensor as I later determined i dont need it, and i believe some one told me that the knocksensor is the same between a 3rd gen and a 4th gen....but will a knocksensor for a SOHC work in a 4th gen which are all DOHC?
Thanks Nick

hunh?
the VG (SOHC) screws into the block.
the VE and VQ use one with a hole in the middle and a bolt goes through it.
They are not the same

VG = 22060-56s10
VE and VQ=22060-30p00

try pulling it up for a 91 (VG motor only) they don't list it, so I had to use some of my other sources to pull it up.
The VG motor has it's knock sensor mounted on the rear of the block by the exhaust manifold

Why does a VG have a knock snesor if its ignition isnt eletronicly controlled? or does it tap into the coil power and delay it?
