About to replace my IACV...

Hey guys,

Bought a new IACV...The adjustment screw is screwed all the way in...The IACV on my car now, the screw is screwed out a little...How do I adjust the screw on the new IACV when I put it in..

1. Install new IACV with new gasket
2. Start car
3. Adjust when car idles normally???

Can you guys help me out on how to install/adjust my new IACV...I lost my FSM somewhere in my computer....I wouldn't be asking if I had it...

thanks guys

I would just open it up enough so the car will idle when you start it,wait until it warms up,then set the idle ...Idle speed for a automatic is 790rpm[+-50rpm] manual 750rpm[+-50rpm] per fsm...

are you a turbo max.......if so do you have a problem stalling after letting off the throttle or snapping the throttle real quick? Boosted max has a way to bore it out a little to make it work a little better. While you got it off

Maybe you have a JDM engine or a JDM IACV. On mine, the screw was inset and didn't have the little grips to hand adjust it on there.

I think I gave it to MrGone (did I give that one to you Shawn? -- can't remember) so I can't get a pic. Anyway, the JDM IACV is different than the US one.

The Picture CyMax showed of the IACV is exactly how mine looks like on my car right now...

But the one I got looks nothing like that screw..Like Cliff Clavin said, my new one, the screw is inset...like you have to stake a screw driver to unscrew it or screw it...
