Belts squeaking

I needed new belts. So I went to autozone and got a p/s, alternator, and ac belt. When I installed the alt belt I tightened the alternator as far as it goes but the belt it still seemed a little loose. In my opinion it had a little more play in it than it should have.
When I first turn on my car and rev the engine, I hear a loud squeak which assume is the loose belt. I considered the fact that the belt might be wrong, but I asked the people at Autozone for an 89 maxima alt belt and i assumed that they gave me the right belt.
Thanks in advance for the help.

If the alternator is out all it can go then they prolly gave you the wrong belt..........or you may have swapped two of them while putting them on........

yeah it might be the wrong belt, but when i took the old alt belt off, i compared it to the new one and they lined up right and they both looked the same size.

Don't trust autozone computers! I had to buy new belts when I changed out my waterpump, and the belt they gave me was completely wrong. It was way too big. I had to go back and get a completely different belt that wasn't even listed for my max, but it was the right lenght and width, so it worked.

the computers are actually right for the most part. i work there and i got all my belts off the computer. The person helping you probably grabbed the wrong belt or something cause i know for sure the database is correct. the alt belt should be 305k4

that's because you have a VG
but they still have a very high error rate.
