, and you wont be intaking cold air just hot ambient air from the radiator, and engine. Nothing CAI in that set up. If you check some of the CAI install guides like, Warpspeed you will see the difference

An alternative is to just replace the pipe with some metal pipe, but this is cheaper.
Here's a video clip of my intake, Ractiv filter w/ 3" mandrel pipe. The top end of the RPM range just makes me

Does anyone have a pic of an intake sans resonator? I'm a little confused on how you're "plugging up" the hole where the resonator was.
Cripes. Take flexy mid pipe off w/ resonator. Uugly plastic blob. You might have to remove some bolts, I forget. Loosen clamp that holds resonator. Remove resonator assembly. Plug the hole that's left with a cap from a rattle spray paint can. DONE
i have the warpspeed y-pipe and 2-1/2" exhaust into a hi-flow muffler. my intake is currently having the finishing touches put on, but i have a short aluminum tube going straight to the sensor to a cone. i made my own heat shielding, but now my intake is facing the wrong direction. derrr.
if anyone is interested in a CAI for a 91-93 accord in a black finish, which will work for a 3rd gen Max, I'll sell it for what i paid $37. there is nothing wrong with it the diameter is about a inch smaller than the one i have i just wanted it since it is one piece. i did notice a small decrease in power compared to what i have already only had it on for about maybe a hours worth of driving time. so if anyone's interested email me. this is a pic of just the pipe
I added a KN Filter that just fit into the stock box. It helped some in performance, but the MPG dropped by about 1MPG. Would it have been better to get a cone filter or some adapter so that the stock box os replaced by a filter. 91 Maxima SE
