vg wont go over 20mph

vg wont go over 20mph

i just bought 92 gxe 5speed for $400 when i get to second gear it starts to spuder and wont gain speed any more and white smoke somes out the back and also is burning lots of gas cant figure whats wrong with it??any ideas?? thanks.

ive got a couple sets of vg fuel rails if you need one let me know ill let them go cheap.

You got screwed. I paid $450 for my 89 5 speed (turned into a donor car) and it had a brand new clutch. Id go b**** at the seller because it definitly sounds like a blown head gasket. Pretty involved to change but its doable. would have paid at most $250, depending on the condition of the rest of the engine.

i am totally offended!!! our VG's can hit a whopping 26mph!! get it right!!!!





oh and my guess is injectors

like i said b4 its my beater car ill just replace the injectors and leave it as is its smokeing a littel not an a**load so i dont really care much at least it runs

per tripleGmax, white smoke is typically coolant burning - i.e. blown head gasket. don't waste ur time with the injectors just yet. not sure if i would let it smoke just cause it's just doing it a little. it will get worse with use and evenutally u'll be looking at replaced ur heads if nto at the least shaving them true again after they warp from the heat.
