Re: Air Intake

try lightningmotorsports.com and look in the intake section for intake adapters! they have the K&N adapters for about $30.

What is the difference in buying a JWT Pop Charger v. an adapter and K&N Filter. The adapter is $25 and the K&N filter is $40-50 which is $75 total. But the PoP Charger costs around $100.

It's all hype.....

JWT and Stillen charge the extra $$$$ cause their name is on it, but there are no performace differences, you'll be just as well off with the $75 K&N!!

I think the difference between the JWT/Stillen intake and the universal adapters is this.

The JWT/Stillen have this nice looking piece of aluminum machined to the right size for the large K&N style filter to attach to. Then, it's rounded, and smoothed from the edge down to the throat where it enters the MAF. This is called a velocity stack/air horn. The theory behind this is that it increases air flow velocity by smoothly transitioning the air into the MAF. It's supposed to work better, and that's why they cost more... Most universal adapters are round on one side and neck down to a square or just attach straight on.

You can always buy a filter and make your own adaptor. Or you can go to www.procarparts.com, click on intake and then click on Nissan intake and buy one from them. The filter, the adaptor, and S&H will run you about $48.
