Positive cable

Positive cable

does the main positive wire connects directly from the battery to the starter?

i'm asking coz i would like to replace my corroded battery clamp and i would like to replace the cable/wire too.

Why are you replacing the wire? You really don't need to unless you are upgrading your amp. IMO too much trouble for no gains. The clamp you can either clean or replace but it isn't that much trouble either way. Wires don't go bad like that as they are usually sealed pretty good and unless you see any tears or burns they'll go for much longer than the life of the car. If you want to do some upgrading to your wires do The Big Three. Add another positive wire to alternator with a 100 amp fuse near the battery. Do another ground to chassis and another chassis to engine. Or you can contact Matt93se and buy one of his grounding kits. Either way upgrading your grounds is a better choice IMO. Most poor charging problems do come from corroded grounds not hot leads.
