Got hit by a F150

I was in menard's parking lot today and a 80 year old guy in a F150 backs in to my car and the air bag gos off. I keep honking my horn and he was to f******* stupid to stop. I would of just backed out of the way but there was a car right on my a**.Here are some pics of what it did to my car. If you cant see in the pic it f***** up my pass side fender and corner light and hood and head light, I had to have the car towed because his trailer hitch punctured my radiator.

If you get it totaled out and want to buy it back, you should be able to replace that stuff yourself, then use some of the money to have it blended (repainted) at a shop.

I don't know if they will give you that much for it, though. I imagine the kbb on it is less than $3k.

good luck

KBB is $2200.00 I will try to get him to just pay me out of pocket. I can do all the work myself I have been working at a body shop for about 5 years.

His hitch went under the rad wall and put a hole in it. I still can't figure that one out the hitch was a good 2-4ins above the rad wall.

looks like you hit the jackpot. be happy. you will now have a free maxima more or less. unless you overpaid for the car. however that damage is extremely minimal. new bumper cover with paint, radiator and that small touch up job on the hood and you're back on the road. it's possible they won't total it. airbag makes it likely though.

DAMN! yeah they'll total it out! now i know in the state of WA it is not based on what the car goes for in NADA or KBB it is what the average price of that car in the condition it was before would go for. or as they call it "Fair Market Value" basically what it would cost you to go buy a car just like your own. best thing i would do is look around you area and see what Max's are going for at lots to get a idea of what they might give ya. but than again that's WA and that may not apply in all states
