A/T Mistery, Please Help me!

Yesterday while driving my 94 noticed that the car didn't move when I pushed the accelerator has if it were in neutral, moved the stick to first and moved after a few seconds. Unfortunally it happened again and again till I had to drive a few miles to get to destination in what appeared was driving in third or fourth.

After aproximately an hour I drove it home to at least park the car indefinetly thinking the transmission broke and the car drove kind of normal, thinking that I won't be able to afford a transmission fix or replace.

Today I had drove it for 5 miles to work and looks worked normal.

Some of the things I have noticed is that the selector for Comfort or the other type of driving sometimes didn't light till it didn't light at all for a while, then when cold the shift from 1 to 2 is rough (it kind of jumps or takes to many rpms). I have changed transmission oil a couple of times since when I bought it with 97Kmiles looked like it was never changed, found a little metalic debri the first time, none the second.

PLEASE HELP!

Meh,the rough shifting between 1st-n-2nd gear he speaks of sounds like a slowly dying tranny to me..

I doubt the comfort/power switch would cause this issue..

i hope u dont need a rebuild but just in case

same thing happened to me for a few weeks then the trans died only 1st and 2nd worked. got it rebuilt for about 1000. after your rebuild make sure u leave it in power mode, the trans company told me comfort lets it slip too much destroying the tranny.

It wouldn't hurt to clean your tranny's electrical connections in the engine bay and also the tcu plugs .

Transmission Was Fine. It Did Resent After Turn On Engine. It Has A Safety Switch That Puts Transmission In Third. Thanks To The People Who Reply To My Message And Hope This Works For Someone Else
