Oh yeah. I will make extras, just not enough to make 50 kits or anything like that. I will just make a few extras for those latecomers. If those sell out, I will setup another group deal and there will be a 2 week backorder time period while I produce more.

Well, with the kit I am designing, it will not matter.

But the only way to tell is look in your engine bay and see what you have.

FYI: Those interested in removing EGR, I simply grinded down a spare cam end cap that goes on the heads covering the cam bolt. Nice, solid peice of metal and bolt holes matched up. I just welded up the open hole on the exhaust manifold.

LMK if you still want in, I know most of the 11 people want in just making sure its still accurate now the spacers are almost available. Aaron will of course have the group buy which I'll link in this and the original post.

Aaron- I can't wait to see the gains. Are you going to dyno Capedcadaver's car before/after?

Also any possibility of a UIM spacer and egr block off plate for guys that don't care about a CEL or wont get one? Just wondering really...

He indicated he would, because my engine runs well enough. I actually suggested running a ¼-mile-time comparison in addition to the dyno, for those of you drag racers (plus 'I wanna go fast', as Ricky Bobby would say). But that would be far more involved, as we'd have to either a) go to a dragstrip on 2 occasions, or b) make a few pre-isntallation passes, install the spacers on-site at the track without burning our hands on the hot engine and coolant, and then make a few passes post-installation.

But just strict dyno is pretty likely.

Yes, I will do dyno runs before and after. I wanted to make sure he had a good running car before I offered that.

And yes, I can still make the UIM spacer and EGR Block Plate if I get advance sales. It will definitely help some more. But I don't think it helps enough to justify adding another $100 to the price of my kit. I want to keep the initial kit priced as low as possible, but still yield decent gains! That's my goal. But I can still offer the UIM spacer for those that are interested. I will just do that a little later.

I can also make an EGR Block Plate kit for the VG easily and can sell that seperate for those you are interested. I already stock the correct exhaust manifold block plug so you won't have to do any crimping, cutting, or welding of the stock EGR tube. The projected price for this kit should be about the same as the VE kit, $30-40.

This thread definitely has me interested, but I want to wait and see about the gains, cost, and ease of installation before I jump on it. It's my only car and I've got too much else on my plate at the moment to commit for sure. But like I said, I'm interested.

Well the list isn't really important any way. In a few weeks the spacers will be almost ready and then he'll do a group buy. Just keep tabs on this thread if your interested and start saving your monies...

I think it might be important because unless he hits a certain number he may wait to make them... So the more "definitely in" people he gets, the better he'll feel about running a set of them.

How far along is the VG kit? Or better yet, how many weeks before you start shipping them out?

I can't say for sure. I am still waiting on Alex to mail me the UIM, TB and collector so I can develop the CAD drawings. Once I get the manifolds from Alex, it will probably be about 3 weeks before they are ready for sale.

sorry I'm just easily amused at the moment... the wording perhaps?

but yeah I hope we can get back into it soon. are you doing EGR on my car? or... one dyno w/ egr enabled then another w/ egr blocked, you know, to show the performance difference, for those who want an egr kit also?

turns out Columbianmax has them, even though the parts belong to Alex... but Alex is at another Org member's house, not so close to home. So turn your focus to ColumbianMax instead!

No, I won't be doing an EGR block on your car. Not right now at least.

because sooner we get ahold of whoever's got Alex's manifold and stuff, the faster Aaron gets the mainfold and stuff, the faster he can make a CAD, the faster he makes the spacers, the faster they get tested on my car, and the faster we can generate more interest when we have a "it makes this much extra HP and this much extra Torque" figures

but, er, yeah my "For VG-Owner eyes only" poll got locked and I can't see why it got locked. Hopefully i messed up when making the poll and it accidentally autoclosed... but signs point to moderator intervention.

right...so that has NOTHING to do with an interest thread for VG spacers...right?
it's you guys trying to get Alex to ship the parts for Aaron to make the parts..right?...where is the part where it goes into the INTEREST part?

you're right...signs point to admin intervention.
explain to me..what was your point of that thread with the poll? you just wanted to know what do people think about their VGs? (please PM me the response and we can talk) this shouldn't be discussed here in this thread.

Edit...Aaron know that i have the parts also if he needed it.

And remember, those of you still on the fence about getting a set, that the more people that commit now, the lower the costs-per-kit are to Aaron, so the happier he'll be. And who knows he may pass some of the savings on to us.

I will definitely pass savings onto you guys. It all depends how much demand there is and how many kits I will need to make.

i'm ok with that...keep it within the scope of the thread and the thread stays.

you need Alex? email, pm, call the guy...don't post here because he's NOT checking this thread...you know what i mean? these extra posts are just adding clutter to the real information that people are looking for.

Just as one final word on the topic of Alex, I talked to him about an hour ago, and he's VERY well aware of what's going on, just isn't replying. He's been busy with his car but I assure you all that things will be progressing as soon as he can get the parts over to Aaron, which he IS trying to do ASAP. So that's that.
