when i was coming home from work tonight, i noticed a scraping noise when i applied my brakes. it kinda sounded like something was scraping under my car. i have no idea what would cause this, does anyone on here? btw, the brake pads were replaced about 8 months ago if that helps. please help me out!

Maybe you need to turn the rotors.

Most likely, one of the calipers is frozen and you've completely worn through one brake pad, and you've got the metal pad backing material scraping against yor rotor..
that's BAD. you need to get it looked at ASAP.

on the other hand.. it cold simply be a small rock that got stck on yor brake pad somehow.. I've seen that a time or two.
