Stereo Problems

I'm having a few problems with the stereo in my car. First of all, I don't know what's wrong with them but only one of my speakers works (the front passenger side one). I've tried changing the balance so I know that's not it. And the other thing is sometimes when I cut my car on, the radio doesn't work. But after I drive a little while, I hear a click and it comes on. I've only had this car for about 3 months now and I know nothing about cars at all. If anyone has any suggestions as to what's wrong, I'd really appreciate all the help I can get. Oh yea and another thing....does anybody know a good place to take my Maxima to get serviced in the Lancaster, SC/Rock Hill/Charlotte, Nc area?

Stereo Problems

I was talking with a guy who repairs stereos for the dealers in the Orlando, FL area and he told me that 3rd gen BOSE systems had problems with an IC (integrated circuit) in them that caused problems like you described. It is repairable.

I am taking my radio to him next week to have him check it out.

Sounds like maybe the caps in the amps for the speakers are going bad..... It's definitely repairable, if you've got some soldering experience and a bit of patience.
