bulbs

my bulbs were whiter than stock but still didn't look what I expected (not as bright/no blue tint) the guy at custom shop said it was because the headlight itself is old and isn't like the newer reflected ones that make the light brighter. Just keep in mind if ur friend has those headlights the bulbs may not have the same effect in your car.

Cool Blues?

Are you talking about Sylvania Cool Blues? No, these are rated as same as your stock bulbs. I installed a set in my Max earlier this month. The light definitely is whiter, but not magic or anything.

Arg how do I know if I have burned out my harness, I installed some high wattage Hiper Industries 9004's into my car, and it all worked, 30 secs later, the driver side light went out, but the passanger side stayed on...after taking both lightrs out and putting stock back in, it works again...why is that? if I get the Hiper lights that are teh same wattage as stock, shouldit be ok?

Yeah I had those too. A little whiter but not worth the extra money. The way that our headlights are glazed is gonna make it tough to acctually find nice bulbs. If they were clearer then it would be a lot nicer. Someone needs to make some clear headlamps instead of worrying about all the Euro-tails.

92GXE, touring wing, 18” racing wheels, Port&Polished intake, custom intake, custom yellow interior, racing seats, back seats taken out and replaced with subs and amps, NOS kit, Suspension tech. Lowering springs, custom grille, soon to be custom painted and have the whole engine rebuilt for big shot NOS and custom SC and tranny converted to 5-speed

i have PIAA superwhites and i encourage everyone to get them. they look way better than stock and they look tight with superwhite colored bulbs in clear corners. my buddy with a 99 se limited got zenon 9004 bulbs, and those are tight too. they're like half the price as piaa's too. they have a definate bluish tint to them, since it's the same company that makes them for lexus'. i would've got them, but i didn't know about them and they wouldn't match as well with my clear corner bulbs.

No problems

None. I also own a Camry and frequent the Camry forum. No complaints there either on the Cool Blues.

Cool Blues are probably the best aftermarkets in that price range>>>

For the $15 ea or whatever they charge.. (I think we get $15ea for em) they are great.. I know for awhile when they first came out if you bought a pair you got $10 off (so it was $20 for a pair..) I've got em.. they really are nice.. a lot whiter/brighter.. a slight bluish tint for a distance.. but really nice looking. Plus they are completely DOT legal.. you can't be harassed by the police about these bulbs. I did notice that the new stock of em we got look like they have a little more "blue" tint in the glass than mine did.. but don't quote me on that.. I'm going to buy a set for the 90 in a couple weeks and we'll see how the "1st gens" look compared to the newer "2nd gen" bulbs

NO

I didn't like them

they are cheap ...yes
they run stock wattage.. yes

are they as bright as i wanted .. NO

i was so used to the plasma xenon's i had in my 92 that the cool blues looked stock to me ..
so i swapped the xenons into my 95 max..yes i know they are higher wattage but i don't care..

BTW: i was running 80W/100W in my 92GXE for 1 yr no problems with the harness..
