Hi all new user here. Love my new 94 Maxima GXE! I have a couple of questions you all may be able to help me with..
1. How do I reset and use the 5 button keyless entry on the door of my 94 maxima. I have figured out the lock button but do not have the code to unlock. Also I noticed some other icons on the buttons. What other functions do the buttons do other than lock and unlock the doors?

2. What does the A/T Power, Comfort switch do? I assume this is for the Auto trans. I have left mine set in the middle position and have not really messed with it. Are there any benefits to driving in Power or Comfort mode? (i.e. gas mileage, more torque, etc...)

Many thanks, what a great web site!

First, welcome to the org.

1) Sit on the floor, passenger side, looking up un der the glove box, with your feet going up the seat. There you will see a code (can't remember how many digits). Write it down, and that is the master code. On the door pad, hit ST, then the master code. You'll hear a beep beep, beep beep, ...program in your new code you want, 4-7 digits, none consecutive repeating though...ex. 4466. Go like 94673, you know what I mean. Once it works, the 1 botton pops the trunk, the 5 button rolls down the front windows and sunroof, if equiped. Any problems, let me know and I'll try to help some more.

2)In Power mode, the tranny simply shifts at higher RPM's, while in comfort it'll shift at lower RPM's. Try it and you'll see. Pay attention to the tach, and accelerate the same in all three modes.

Enjoy the ride!

Isaacm...

I did as you described and found three sets of numbers.

a) xxxxxxxxxx
b) xxxxxxxxxx
c) xxxxxxxxxx

Which is the master code that you described?

if I remember correctly, the middle one should start with S and that's your number

check www.kalebonline.com in the FAQ section though to be sure
