Sunco Super Hurt my engine

I put $20 of Sunco Super in my 94 Maxima Gxe ever since then the engine has been Idling roughly and I can't get good exceration. The engine jurks when I get on the gas hard. I was just wondering if anyone has experience this before. and what gas is best suitable for this car.

Maybe you got a bad tank of gas.

Ummm...Sunco is a ghetto gas station. If you stick with 76 or Mobil atleast a 91 octane you will be fine.

I meant that maybe you got a bad batch (i.e water mixed in). Sometimes for whatever reason water gets into the gas either in the underground tank or at the refinery. It causes engines to sputter and stall. You can add some bottles of "gas-line antifreeze" to your tank (it dries up the water). Worst case senario, you have to drop your tank and drain it.

Hope this helps.

Just like Dmontzmax said. If you stick with the name brands of gasoline, you will be fine. I will only use Chevron, 76, Mobil, Texaco, or any other clean gasolines. I would just go ahead and make it a habit to use these brands.

Maybe it's sunoco's gas because I used ultra 94 over the summer
and it burned quicker and my car ran like crap. After I switched
back to Amaco gold my car runs fine. Try Amaco gold or Mobil super

Sunoco and Hess are reputable national chains. Maybe his fuel filter is clogged.

I stick with Amoco Silver(89) and it runs just fine. Probably bad gas. I never liked Sunoco.

I'm a hess user over here. I dont always like to use high octane all the time because I get crapy mileage whenever I do. Instead, I use 89 octane to get the good mileage, and once a month, I fill up with Mobil 93 with a bottle of Chevron Feul injector cleaner. I find this works becase I usually get my oil changed right after that way I drain all the loose carbon out of the engine.
