Allen head size on intake plenum

Allen head size on intake plenum

Does anyone know what size the allen head is on the intake manifold so that i can get some allen head things for my ratchet on my way home.on my way home.

Sigh.... i hate buying tools from Wally world

If you have a 6mm socket, a 6mm allen wrench, and don't want to buy a new socket, you can just cut about 3/4" piece off of the allen wrench and stick it in 6mm socket. If you're worried about it coming out of the socket, just tape them together...

i don't have anything to cut it with at home. I'll just go buy a 6mm allen socket.

on the bright side, you will have one now.
if you think you can justify spending a little more money, get the socket set.
then you will have it, and not have to spend time running to the store to buy one net time you need a different size.

They do strip and to do break from what I've noticed but not a lot if you ask me

this is the second VG intake I have pulled. Just make sure that the allen is fully seated into the bolt. Use steady pressure untill the bolt breaks loose. Sometime's junk gets in the head of the bolts and if the allen isn't fully seated, they strip very easily. I've never heard of them breaking. They are not that tight. I reccomend hand tools on this one.
