Update: I got the car back from the mechanic. He said the alternator was bad so I took it back to autozone and they tested it. It failed. This was the same alternator that I took to them when the light was coming on and they said it passed.
Here's a joke, they looked me up in the computer and it shows that the bad alt. was bought in Feb........of 2008!! One month!! I think thats a new record. HA HA. They changed it for another one which will be my last one from them. The car is running ok for now. I'm just nervous about taking it on a long run.

had alternator problems whatsoever (they did all appear to be the original
factory alternators) (i do have all 4 splash guards always)if i ever need one i should go junkyard'in also have NEVER had injector problems and only one window regulator(pass-rear) in 7 years, nothing else major(non routine)either

You are damn right Shoult. Now I'm scared to hook up my amp up to the battery again. When...not if the alternator craps out, I'm getting an OEM. I think the splash shields play a big role in the life of the alt. I wish I had them on my car. Local junk yards don't have them.
