Clutch problem help

The clutch engages on its own.It happened to me this morning.I pulled out in first i shifted to second and once i give it gas after shifting. The clutch engages on its own!and i half to pull it back up. It happens at least once a day!Im thinking its either the spring or the clutch cylinder. Its not the slave!

unless you have replaced it really recently, then the slave is a good culprit for this. my friend's car does the same thing... we haven't replaced it because we're about to replace the car so we just let it leak and he fills it up and it works for a few days.

but yea the master cylinder is another option. by spring do you mean the diaphragm spring inside the pressure plate assembly?

Please don't say the clutch engages by itself! The truth is your pedal is collapsing down toward the floor pan due to all that air in it's line!!! If the clutch is engaging by itself is the engine freewheeling/disengaged from the trans?

Probably what he meant to say just worded it wrong. There is a bleeder valve on the slave cylinder belive its a 10mm. Try bleeding the line before replacing parts. I have had this happen to me before and was just air in the line.
