EGR VALVE BOLT SIZE??

Whats up everyone? I am trying to replace my egr valve. I need to know what size is that large screw directly underneath it. I am guessing that it is either a 24mm or a 26mm, but I dont want to get the wrong size wrench. I know that the other screw near the exauhst manifold is a 22mm. please help.

I use a 1 1/16" wrench to loosen it, so it must be a 26mm

Although, why are you gonna go buy a wrench just to take it off? Just use a crescent wrench or something. You're probably gonna spend $30-40 just for a single 26mm wrench..

Yeah your right, Is a crescent wrench the one that you can adjust by sliding it open or closed almost like a pair of vice grips??? If so Ive got one of those.

Well, it's not really like vice grips, but yes a crescent wrench is the adjustable kind with the little spiral thing.

cresent wrench is best for temporary use but sometimes it just makes a mushroom around the bolt and now u have a problem.....other wise just buy a set of deep sockets (from 6mm to 30mm) with ratchet and u will be gud for very long time...atleast it wont round the bolt....

You can't use a socket on the EGR bolt

true there's a pipe comin outta that bish. just use a crescent wrench, the nut is so damn big i really doubt you'd be able to mushroom/fjunk it up. mind you those bolts can get pretty seized up on there from all the heat cycles. get 'r done.
