I was coming to a stop the other day and my Max just died. It will start for a few seconds then it dies. I checked the TPS and it is fine, swapped the MAF still the same. I have no engine light, but I'm still going to check for codes. It sucks because I'm so busy with work and when I get some time it rains. I recently replaced the injectors, cleaned the IACV, all new vacuum lines, new cap rotor, plugs, wires and timing belt. I'm thinking either try changing the CTS because it's cheap and if that doesn't work look at the CPS which sucks because it's expensive.

I really do love the car but I'm tired of fixing it. I got 150k on it and I still have to replace the fuel and brake hard lines because of rust, change all struts, mounts and springs...

Check fuel pressure when the car dies - if pump/filter/FPR is fine the pressure will remain around 40psi for minutes once switched off..........

In the FSM there are diagnostic charts for your symptom. Those could help point you in the right direction.

Well, it's finally not raining and I got a chance to check for any stored codes. I got a code 12 MAF sensor. I unplugged the sensor and it will run so it's a bad MAF. I have one lying around but it has 4 prongs and the one I have has 5 prongs??? Why is this? Anyone know?
