Not too difficult to do yourself, Just buy an intake gasket set. That price is way too high for labor and the injectors, They are hosing you for sure.

OP: Those 92+ injectors really are badly designed and it's easy to pinch and spring leaks in the o-rings which floods the cylinder, which i'm guessing is your problem, new OEM injector isn't going to go out in 2 years. Course if it was installed improperly, it probably would have started to leak a lot sooner than this.

the one that failed for the OP is the one the mechanic sold him. the other 5 were ok still. He got a new one from the same source as he bought the other 5 (me) and he should be good to go.

I have the new injector in and the car runs like a champ again. I also replaced the rubber crossover fuel lines and clamps, plus new upper intake manifold gaskets.

Took about 2 hours.

Phew......

Phew......

i just changed my intake manifold gasket + an injector too, and my exhaust manifold gasket. runs great however for some reason its a bit shakey, probably gonna change my spark wires, distributor cap, and ignition rotor soon.
