Sorry, I can never get the search to work here, no matter how hard or simple I try.

I went to autozone today to try and find some brushes and they couldn't find anything for the VE A/T or even the Quest/Villager. I can't find anything online either. Is it the same set as for the VG/VQ starters or do I have to go to the dealership?

I can help with search: go to google and at the end of your search criteria type: site:maxima.org

Works like a charm for me.

I couldn't buy brushes here as auto- electrics want their pice of pie I guess- they wouldn't sell me those. Didn't try the dealer though. Please post it here if you find the source. I'm also interested in alternator brushes.

in the US the chances of finding parts to rebuild a starter/alternator are very slim unless you are in the business to begin with.
