I sold my original set to Goner. My bro picked up a set for his Z32 since the cleared his oem calipers. Now he wants to sell his set.

I thought those Cobra wheels were like 9.5" wide or something?

Haha James you know what a 9.5" would look like with a RWD offset?

That shiz would look crazy

So the Cobra R's look just like the ones Caped pics?

I just looked on CL and there's a few sets on there that say 17x9.5 in the front and 17x10.5 in the back? They're all ~$500. Although they're chrome. So chrome = Cobra R?

I dunno. Cobra R refers to the size not finish:

Here's my pics of my old set:

well he meant that the spokes would reach deep into the middle of the wheel rather than being near the outer face of the wheel like the 8" wide ones are. the spokes are flatter on the 9's and there's a bit of a lip too

8"

9"

I doubt the spoke change was purely because of the size. Mostly ashthetics. The 2000 Mustang cobra svt wheels are 17x8 and the spokes are flat. Won't clear our bbks though:

WOW i was JUST about to post those same 2 exact pictures to show the 17x8 vs 17x9...

while were on the topic of wheels/mustang wheels - i was measuring wheel stud lenghts on my friends Mach1 so i can get longer studs for my car and i threw the wheels on my 2nd VE to grab a picture

photoshop with a small drop -

They look good, but they dont look "right" if you get what i mean. Same thing size-wise to the 17x8 cobras. I like the machined face finish, wish the cobra wheels had that

well the ones like we have are the same overall 'style' as the 17x9's whereas the 2000 ones are totally different. alot of cars with different wheel widths have differently slanted spokes between widths, like 370z's for example. The extra width of the 17x9's just allows the spokes to be flatter w/o jeapordizing caliper clearance
