Intake Tubing and a rpm bounce Q

Ok my stock intake tubing is cracked and im not sure if its even related to the rpm bouncing. When i let off of the gas when cruising around 60mph my rpm goes down to 1400 then bounce to 1800 and then back down a little.
I have cleaned my throttle body yesterday and my ivac just last year. Can it be because of the air getting into my throttle body from the crack? Is anyone running just a mid pipe on that part of the tubing, with a stock box?, like are you using just the middle part of the cold air intake with the stock box?, is there any difference? Thanks

Easy fix! Upgrade to a new SRI or CAI! Or hit the boneyard, or if you need it fixed now!!!! Black electric tape...cover the entire circumference....

I used a black self vulcanizing tape to fix a similar issue on a camry.
