You should replace it instead of disconnecting it. In the meantime, you can pull the front door panels and disconnect the beepers.

Remove door panel and it's right there, yellow/orangish metal.

i may have finally traced down the problem for the alarm randomly goin off i think the theft warning control unit is bad, i think i might just disconnect it and run an aftermarket alarm with an air horn. i work at a truck stop and barely hear it with the factory horn witch is almost done anyway cause of the alarm. Now is this a common problem? or a once in a blue moon type thing?

So if I replace the keyless entry unit thingy on the passenger side under the dash, would that make it work again? It was working when I first bought the car, then it stopped a few years later, and now Im wondering since I will have to replace my driver side door, because of an accident, will the chances of the keyless entry system working again be slim?

Good idea. A nice 2 way alarm is far superior than stock alarm and keyless entry.

Assuming you know the code to the new control unit, it should work fine. But again, you might just want to look into an aftermarket alarm as well.
