ypipe install?????

i just need a little info on the installation of a new ypipe. i'm planning on ordering a warpspeed non-mandrel bent y for my max, i just need to know how hard it was to install. do i need an impact wrench or can it be done with sockets? is there anything else i'd need to buy that doesnt come with the pipe? any tips or tricks? approximatley how long should it take to install?

If you are buying from WSP, I think they include all the gaskets you need. Someone correct me if that's wrong.

You can do it with basic tools, but a swivel socket makes it much easier to reach some bolts. Also make sure you SOAK the bolts with WD-40 or stronger the day before you plan your instal. It should make it easier to remove them.

Time depends on your skill, and if you have helpers. Can take anywhere from 1 hour to 6..... hehe

They do include the gaskets instead of charging you 15 extra for them.

Start a few days ahead with the soaking. Trust me I soaked mine for about three days everyday before hand and it was still tough and mine was on a 98.

I used PB for my Y-pipe install. My car has spent it's entire life in Las Vegas where there is no rain or moisture. So, they came off really easy for me after spraying PB on the nuts 10 seconds prior to removal. If your car lives in a wet or salty place...I think it will be very hard. But, penetrating oil definitely works better than WD-40.
