Is that original paint?

paint was original. @ 300k the clutch was the original one also. great car to work on. Theres ton of stuff to upgrade for little money and alot of knoledge here. use the search funtion and you'll learn anything you want about your car.

I have a front valve cover thats painted gloss black I'd sell cheap if you wanna upgrade the look under the hood.

Just tell someone at a shop how much HP you want, and pay them a ton of money to make your car faster, cuz if you have to ask, it's better to leave it in the hands of a pro. The VE is not an ideal engine to turbocharge anyways... the compression ratio is high (10:1) so you have to be massively conservative/careful to keep from destroying it unless you want to have it rebuilt with lower compression.

You can get a T3 out of a Z31 (84-87, or a T25 from a 88-89), but the manifolds from the Z won't work due to the difference in port shape. You'll be on your own there.

Or sell your VE to someone who doesn't want a turbo, buy a VG 5spd, and turbo that instead. VG is perfect for boost.

allow me to clarify.... don't put any Flowmaster on a V6, or any engine that isn't a crossplane V8... pretty much anything else just sounds like redneck trash with a flowmaster.

idk about magnaflow. As far as flowmaster, itdepends... do you like the sound of redneck trash vehicles? or do you like something that's actually refined and civilized? the Megan Racing system on the VQ's sounds good... should also sound good on a VE.

This is what I was talking about with the Dynomax VT, it's got a flap in it that opens as exhaust flow increases, so it's quieter at cruise and louder at WOT.

Thank you everyone for your help. Sorry if I was a bother or waste of time to anyone. Once I get new parts, and them to my car over the summer, I shall post pics. Thanks you guys. See you all in a month or so for first pic
