1989 Nissan Maxima: can see arcing off spark plug wires all over
1989 Nissan Maxima
I recently had some shuddering issues, one getting bad enough where it stalled, I could not find the problem till I checked the car engine in the dark and could see electrical arcs, very light ones in various places in the wire. It had never done this before, or at least not enough to cause problems. The wires are not that old, probably 2011.
Brand is Borg Warner, cost roughly $60. (you would think it would last longer seems odd to wear out that fast)
Spark plugs are Denso PQ2OR
The arcs only appear when revving from a very low idle.
Vehicle has 93 k on it, spark plugs have about 23k on them.

I didn't know what plugs they put in when it was in the shop, I just saw them, lol, never even heard of that brand. I did take a look at the plugs, they looked fine really.
The crappy wires are still under warranty and they said they would just replace em, which I guess I can use while I order the better ones.

incorrect plugs can make some vehicles engines act up, i know Bosch in some American and Japanese vehicles will make them act up. as said just use NGK plugs and wires, NGK is the standard for almost all Japanese vehicles
