Door locks

Had a bit of strange thing start happening today and wondering if anyone else has experienced this but anyhow when i start the car the doors automatically lock. Otherwise everything door lock wise is in working order with no other issues so far. I don't think its the door lock timer but i could be wrong. Im thinking maybe the master switch? Windows all switches and locks work fine otherwise but its kind of strange that the doors lock as soon as the car starts. I've known some newer models of cars that engage the door locks when the car gets put into drive but obviously thats not the case. I wouldn't think its ignition related but i know when the key is in the ignition with the car running it doesn't allow you to lock the doors which i know is normal and a smart feature back then so you don't lock your keys in the car when it's running.

Door lock timer. I remember i have an issue like this, get in the car and the lock would automatically lock itself. And yes sometimes it wouldn't lock at all. I suggest change out the timer. I've used one from an altima model years 92-97 first gen. and it works flawlessly til this day.

Cool. Good to know the altima ones work too. At one point my door locks weren't working at all. I took the timer out and re soldered the board and it has worked flawlessly for the past couple of years which made me wonder if it was the timer at all. I believe i have a spare kicking around somewhere. If i can find it maybe i'll swap it out and see what happens.
